Because while they're having fun, I can give you a night of just what she said. Magic, tricks, fun, a little mayhem, and dancing.

I don't know if I'm ready for some things yet. And I can't promise I won't make a scene if Beatrice pulls something.

But this is probably one of the sweetest things anyone's ever tried to do for me. I'm sorry I ruined your surprise... so how about you ask me again?

I'm not trying to force you into anything. This is just a one-time thing for now. All I want to do is make your birthday special, since I can't take you out to Lion's Gate before your birthday.

Would you like to go with me to Beatrice's party, or would you prefer to do something else?

Well, it's nice to finally do something for my birthday that doesn't involve breaking the law. Then I always have to spend the next day locked inside while the SWAT teams try to storm my house. Maybe this time I can, you know, wake up happy the next morning.

What, it's never like those scenarios when you're sitting there and you say, "Well, that was fun"?

It was a lot better when I was younger and thought fending off smoke bombs was the bee's knees.

Evil's just not at the top of my list anymore. Plus, the cops here are probably superpowered, too. If I set one on fire, they'd probably dish it back.
