Oh. ...Yeah. He does that. Honestly, I'd ignore it but keep an eye on them. Watch out for them, and don't let them go out into the Darkness.

Make sure he has no interest in their body either. Don't let him get close. He's taken possession of people before.

He just needs to be in the same room, the same vicinity. His darkness can do all the touching he needs it to.

Twenty feet? Thirty? Forty? What's the range 'in the room'? Can anything block him? Do you mean literal darkness, like a shadow? [...None of this was anything out of the ordinary. None of it. When did his become his life? How many decades ago?]

Anything in any length of room. It doesn't matter. It's more difficult outside unless it's dark because there's interference from people, objects, the light... Things like that. But in any length of room, there's nothing to deter him. It's just you and him and that's it.

None of those things will stop him for long, though. It'll buy you seconds. Minutes at most.

Fighting him. But there's no guarantee that you'll win or won't be possessed yourself. He likes hearts darkened by rage, anger, hate... He likes hearts without light.
